Moving K9-Ped to a new (or reformatted) disk drive or new system

K9-Ped requires the installation of the Borland Database Engine to access the pedigree data.  It will not work to just copy the K9-Ped folder and sub-folders from your old drive.

The K9-Ped System ID and the associated User Code are based on the system hardware so they, most likely, will change when you install a new disk drive.

The first step is to download the program form http://k9ped.com and install the program on the new drive.

If you have a copy of the old c:\k9ped folder and sub-folders you can copy this to the new drive AFTER YOU DO THE INSTALLATION.  If you copy it before the installation you may overwrite your data.  If you don't have a copy of your old data you can use your last backup and "restore" the data to the new program.

The program will most likely start up in "demo mode".  You will need a new User Code for your new System ID to unlock the full features.  You can obtain this by e-mailing your user code.  The easiest way to do this is use the button on the K9-Ped "About" page.  If this doesn't work send an e-mail to k9pedlicense@azdogs.com with your System ID.  Please include "K9-Ped" in the e-mail subject.  You should receive a reply with your new User Code in 24 hours or less.
